Transit Staff Training

The Office of Transit believes that a well-trained workforce adds to the productive contributions of each individual in that organization.  The Office of Transit, therefore, sponsors a series of comprehensive staff development workshops for Ohio transit systems.  Workshops are offered on a variety of topics ranging from defensive driving and basic management skills required to effectively operate a transit system to developing maintenance policies and procedures.  Training allows the Office of Transit to help its customers -- the transit systems -- better serve their customers -- the passengers.  See the ODOT Calendar for upcoming training or contact our Training Officer, Kim White at (614) 644-0301.

ODOT’s Office of Transit prides itself on the level and quality of technical service provided to its customers. Technical assistance comes in many forms, from ODOT and other transit staff working one on one as mentors to assist with applications and invoices to training and workshops to feasibility studies and analyses under the Ohio Technical Assistance Program (OTEC).
