New Drug & Alcohol Regulations Issued
The Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) for the revised drug and alcohol regulations was published in the April 30, 2001 Federal Register. 49 CFR Part 655, the "Prevention of Alcohol Misuse and Prohibited Drug Use in Transit" may be accessed on the Internet by following these steps:

Comments on the NPRM are due June 14, 2001. Comments may be submitted electronically. The proposed regulations will be discussed during the roundtable session at the Ohio Public Transit Conference on June 5, 2001.
