Under the direction of an Assistant Section Administrator, coordinates Public Involvement, community impacts, NEPA document review, air/noise analysis and GIS / graphics. Our responsibilities are governed by State and Federal laws that address the impacts of transportation projects on Ohios social, economic, and environmental resources. In addition to preparing NEPA documents, our staff conducts field and document reviews and act as Project Managers for specifically assigned projects. We also perform noise analysis, assist with public meetings and prepare graphics and exhibits for many of our documents and presentations. The Policy Section works closely with the consulting community and environmental staffs in all of ODOTs twelve districts to ensure that all projects are directed through the proper reviews and evaluations.
