New TRAC Applications Being
Accepted
COLUMBUS - Ohio Department of
Transportation (ODOT) Director Gordon Proctor announced today the
Transportation Review Advisory Council (TRAC) is accepting
applications for funding for the 2013 Major New Construction Program.
“This continued
funding represents our commitment to improve safety and mobility on
Ohio’s roadways,” said Proctor. “The TRAC understands the necessity of
these projects in helping to build a world-class transportation
system.”
Funding for
projects approved by the TRAC has been possible through Gov. Taft’s
Jobs and Progress Plan. The $5 billion, 10-year plan provides funding
for projects such as the Wilmington Bypass in Clinton County,
Cleveland Innerbelt, Interstate 75 in Cincinnati and a number of
others around the state.
ODOT has set
Monday, May 15 as the deadline for cities, counties and other entities
to have applications delivered to the ODOT district offices. Locals
are encouraged to meet with their district offices to review their
applications. Applications, guidelines and the TRAC policies are
available at the ODOT/TRAC Web site:
