Ohio Department of Transportation Construction 2000

The Ohio Department of Transportation is committed to helping Ohio grow. This brochure identifies areas where ODOT is working to keep Ohio's interstates the best in the nation. Motorists travel more than 70 million miles in an average day on Ohio's interstates. Our challenge is to rebuild the interstate system while maintaining traffic and limiting public inconvenience. We're working hard to keep traffic MOOV'N, but traffic slowdowns, and some lane closures are necessary to get the work done.
You too can be a partner in Ohio's ongoing effort to repair our interstates. By being informed and planning ahead, traffic tie-ups and delays on the roads can be avoided. Allow extra time when traveling through construction areas and STEER CLEAR of the congestion by choosing alternate routes when possible. Traveling during off-peak hours can also minimize delays.
Ridesharing, carpooling, and vanpooling are also practical and economical ways to make your commute easier. If you need help finding someone to share a ride, call your local rideshare agency or 1-800-VAN-RIDE. You can also contact your local transit system for bus schedule information. If you need assistance in getting to your destination, call us. We will guide you.
