Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Information

Success!!

The First Annual ODOT/DAS/EOD Minority Business Fair was held on Wednesday,
August 25th, 2004, from 9am - 2pm at the Rhodes Building located at the Ohio State
Fairgrounds and Expo Center in Columbus, Ohio.

This was a REVERSE vendor fair where ODOT displayed the commodities and services that
the department purchases on a regular basis, which gave the vendors the opportunity to
come and see what kind of business they would be able to do with ODOT.

The Department of Administrative Services' Equal Opportunity and State Procurement was
also there to show vendors how to get registered as a Minority Business, where to locate
information pertaining to Minority Businesses, and gave the vendors guidance on how to bid
for, or get added to, state purchasing contracts.
