| DISTRICT 7 | |
| When ODOT was considering a color scheme for several projects within the City of Dayton, we looked to the community for inspiration. It was obvious that Dayton already had a signature color. We matched that color to its federal equivalent and used it on the metal surfaces. |

| DISTRICT 6 | |
| When
I-70 was revamped, the district incorporated aesthetic principles by using
the light neutral color in the concrete sealer and painting all 32
bridges with the same light green.
Sealing concrete median barrier and bridge components was $10.00 or under per sq. yd. The percentage of cost for sealing 0.82 percent. The additional cost for the aesthetic items is negligible. About 50 percent (dollar wise) of the sealing performed was established as part of the original project and not added for aesthetic purposes. |

The District worked with the City of Cleveland to choose Aristocratic Blue for all the bridges within the City. This color had previously been designated one of the signature colors for the city. In their Best of Cleveland issue for 2001, Cleveland Magazine designated the overpasses spanning Cleveland highways the Best Paint Job. |
