program, click here. |

The logo sign program provides for the placement of
business logos at rural and urban freeway and expressway
interchanges for gas, food, lodging, camping and attraction
facilities meeting certain eligibility criteria. This program
has been operated by a private company, Ohio Logos, Inc.,
working under contract with ODOT, since 1992. This contract
expires on March 18, 2008. A new contract is being developed,
but will not be in place for the next few months. In the
interim, the following will apply:
-
Fee collection from the participating businesses will be
suspended as of March 18, 2008 (logo sign program only). No fees will be collected
from participating businesses until a new contract is executed.
-
Existing logo signs and supports will remain in place, and will
be maintained by ODOT district forces. Knockdowns or otherwise
damaged signs and supports will be repaired or replaced by ODOT
district forces.
To report needed
maintenance contact
the appropriate district office.
-
New supports will not be installed, except as needed to maintain
the existing system.
-
The ability of ODOT to accommodate new requests for
participation in the logo program will be limited
during this interim period. Businesses interested in
participating in the logo program should review
eligibility requirements
and complete an application form
(available in Microsoft Word or
Adobe PDF versions). Signed
and dated application forms should be mailed to
the appropriate district office.
