READING OF BIDS - Due to technological advances, the Department has opted to eliminate the public reading portion of our bid letting process. The contracting industry has indicated to us that they are not listening to the bid letting broadcast since the results are available on-line before the bids can be read aloud. The Department believes the Bid Express process to be as secure as and more efficient than our previous process. For these reasons, the Department will no longer read bids aloud.
